As an avid Elvis Fan and tribute singer that has been performing a number of years Internationally, it has been brought to my attention many times that it was very difficult to find an Elvis Tribute Singer to embrace the extremely popular but lesser heard ballads. Lesser heard, not because they were not as popular, but lesser heard simply because you could not jive or swing or even lindy hop to them. It was difficult to find a singer that would be happy performing the often romantic and classic slower tunes that are synonymous with one of the most influential ballad singing icons of all time Elvis Presley.

On one occasion I was booked to sing for a Surprise Engagement Announcement. It was to be held at a beautiful florists. The organiser wanted all romantic and slower tunes than the regular sets that most tribute artists sing. Quite honestly I could not believe my luck. I love singing timeless classics like, Love Me Tender, Wise Men Say Only Fools Rush In, Wooden Heart, Surrender, The Wonder Of You and many more.

Many fans of the music never sees to amaze me when they love or even ask for brilliant songs like, For The Millionth And The Last Time, Fame and Fortune, Puppet On A String, Always On My Mind, I'll Remember You, Girl Of My Best Friend, Angel and even songs as timeless as Never Ending, which you may be able to hear right now in the background.  The event required me to sing street side, in the open air along side passing cars and local residents. It was a beautiful warm day with the sun shining brightly. Having sung two or three songs it came to my attention that people were leaving there  homes to come and see who this Elvis Singing Guy was. Cars were stopping to hear a little more before there busy day, and new customers where ordering flowers. The shops new customers were also asking for my business card and asking me if I was available for different times of the year. A number of people asked me if I performed in local wine bars or restaurants. It was not an area I was familiar with however I found myself in the area very soon again.

It has now become apparent to me that there is demand for this style of Elvis Tunes as well as the regular multi million hip shaking mega sellers. Incidentally, having finished my surprise engagement announcement booking, they promptly said: 'See you at the wedding'. I replied, 'Hey thanks. Elvis will be in the Building'.
